CHERRY PAINTERS ADVERTISMENT

The challenge was to create a guerrilla marketing campaign that commands attention in a public space and leaves a lasting visual impact. The objective was to design an unconventional advertisement that cuts through the noise, disrupts expectations, and communicates the brand’s message in a clear, memorable, and engaging way.

For this campaign, I developed a mockup for Cherry Painters that uses humor and bold visual storytelling to discourage risky DIY paint jobs. The concept centers on a partially painted billboard paired with the message, “Don’t DIY. Call us instead.” To heighten the drama, a mannequin figure hangs from the edge—secured by a rope—creating the illusion of a DIY attempt gone terribly wrong.

This exaggerated physical setup grabs attention from afar, instantly conveying the dangers of taking on big projects alone. The intentionally imperfect paint strokes and theatrical scene amplify both urgency and relatability, making the brand’s message unmistakable: trust the professionals.
